Overview
The ACR Pathfinder Pro is a fully approved Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) that complies with IMO SOLAS regulations. When interrogated by radar, the Pathfinder Pro returns 12 intense blips back to the vessel’s radar screen, greatly enhancing search and rescue efforts.
The ACR Pathfinder Pro SART 2914 is a compact, high-performance Search and Rescue Transponder engineered to meet the mandatory GMDSS and IMO SOLAS carriage requirements for commercial vessels on international voyages. Operating across the 9.2–9.5 GHz marine radar band, the Pathfinder Pro responds to radar interrogation by transmitting 12 intense radar blips back to the searching vessel’s screen — with the first blip pinpointing the exact location of the SART — dramatically improving detection accuracy and reducing rescue response times in life-threatening emergencies at sea.
The superior non-hazmat lithium battery delivers over 96 hours of standby operational life and an additional 12 hours of active operational life while under radar interrogation, ensuring the unit remains functional throughout extended search and rescue operations. Waterproof to 10 metres depth, the Pathfinder Pro is built to withstand immersion and harsh marine conditions without compromising signal performance.
The unit ships with a sleek wall mount bracket that keeps the SART secure, accessible, and ready for immediate deployment in an emergency. An optional telescopic pole connects directly to the base of the unit, elevating it above the life raft for maximum radar visibility and signal range. The SART can also be suspended inside the craft for hands-free operation, providing deployment flexibility across a wide range of emergency scenarios.
Certified to IMO, MED, FCC, and IEC standards, the Pathfinder Pro holds worldwide approvals and meets the carriage requirements of all major flag states and Port State Control authorities globally.
